Mann-Grandstaff VAMC would like to welcome you to our annual Hispanic-American Heritage Celebration this Thursday, October 3, 2019. The event, scheduled between 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., will feature keynote speaker Rudy Lopez, (USAF Ret.) Director, E. WA Veterans Cemetery who will be joined by several other speakers of Hispanic-American descent, along with cultural music, food, and fun! This event is open to everyone and is presented in a way that allows guests to come and go as they wish, without the expectation of staying at the event the entire time. This event is offered by MGVAMC’s Minority Veterans Program, showcasing the cultural diversity among our VA workforce!

Stand Downs are open to all Veterans and offered by VA and local community partners gathering together in one location – in order to serve Veterans with local community resources and services to help. In addition, Stand Downs offer Veterans a health care check-up, hot meal, VA health care enrollment and benefits advisors.

Typically, events include haircuts, clothing repair, food assistance, important information on housing, job opportunities, and local businesses providing services to assist Veterans. The events are always free and begin at 8:00a.m. with a formal ceremony (unless otherwise listed).
